- This service operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
- Health Shuttles are staffed by volunteers and donations are welcomed to help cover operating costs.

- Service operates between the hours of 8.15am and 3.30pm.

- We coordinate a number of volunteers who have their own vehicles.
- Pick clients up at time that suits, take them to appointments and wait for them to be finished, then drop them home.

- Take clients to any hospital board appointment, usually Waikato or Thames, occasionally Auckland.

- We also provide to transport home for discharge patients as long as it is a reasonable hour.
- A wheelchair is available for people who have trouble walking long distances.
- It is also available for community use if not needed by VD.
- A Community van is available for people needing a wheelchair as it has a wheelchair hoist.
- Approved ACC provider, will undertake transport for ACC Clients.
- Have a Community Bus, used each Friday for local trips, alternate Tuesdays to Thames for shopping. Has a wheel chair hoist, available on a casual basis.

Description of services
- Patients generally phone to make their transport arrangements at least 24 hrs before the appointment date. On the evening prior to travel, the Driver will phone them, advising of their pick-up time.
- There is a Driver and a Support Person in each vehicle and they pick up the patients at their homes and deliver them right to the reception counter of the appropriate Ward, or, Clinic.
- Following the Patients appointment, the Driver, or, the Support Person will collect them from the Ward, or, Clinic, take them back to the mini-bus and deliver them back to their home.
- Transport is provided in 2 x 12 seat & 1 x 8 seat mini-buses, each equipped with a defibrillator, a wheelchair, a comprehensive first aid kit, blankets, vomit bags, water bottles and a fire extinguisher.
- On some occasions, private vehicles are also used.
Area covered
- Passengers are from the Matamata District. Urban passengers are picked up at their homes, but, due to time factors, most rural passengers make their own way in to town and travel with us from there.
- Most passengers travel to Waikato Hospital and Hamilton Clinics, but, we also transport patients to Thames, Tauranga, Rotorua and Tokoroa Hospitals and clinics.

Description of services
- The Taumarunui Mobility Van has been serving the Taumarunui area since 1991 providing a door to door passenger pick up service for the aged, disabled & those elderly with no other means of transport for medical appointments, local specialist appointments, shopping, to attend community meetings and well-being functions.
- The vehicle is fitted with a certified wheelchair hoist.
- The service is free but users are encouraged to make a modest donation where possible.
Other
- At weekends the van and driver is available for community organisations like Aged Concern, Senior Citizens, Grey Power and similar organisations for regular out of town functions or well-being trips to Auckland, Hamilton, Taupo, New Plymouth, Whanganui which can provide a better quality of life for this remote community.
- As the Taumarunui Mobility Van is a charitable organisation, for out of town excursions a suitable donation or koha would be encouraged to assist with costs.

Description of services
- Call Tokoroa Hospital for the St John renal shuttle and the Trikiso bus. These vehicles come from Hamilton to pick up in South Waikato.
- The renal shuttle on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starts picking up at 5.30am and leaves the hospital at 1:30pm.
- The Trikiso bus on Tuesdays and Thursdays picks up around 8.30am and leaves the hospital at around 3pm. These services are fully funded by the DHB, so are free to the user.
- Call St John at the Hamilton office weekdays 8am to 4pm for the St John shuttle – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to all Hamilton appointments (not merely the hospital) from Tokoroa and Putaruru.
- The service is run by volunteers in an 8-seater van – a door-todoor service. On the evening before travel the drivers check the bookings and organize the pickup time based on the first appointment. The shuttle returns when all appointments are finished.
- The service is funded by donations (donation envelopes are available) and by the National Travel Assistance scheme which assists some travel by community service card holders living 80km from the destination.
- Drivers have the relevant forms and will assist you. NTA payments are made directly to the service provider.

Description of services
- We operate two vans and two cars, with bases in Putaruru and Tokoroa. All vehicles carry a wheelchair, and volunteers will accompany clients to their reception areas in the hospital or other service.
- Support people will be transported if room is available.
- We return discharged patients from Waikato Hospital to their homes in the South Waikato should a shuttle be present at the time.

- We take clients to appointments organised by the Waikato DHB, including to Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Matamata, Cambridge and Thames.
- We pick up and deliver door-to-door in Tokoroa, Putaruru, Arapuni and Tirau.

- This Van transports locals to and from their homes for a weekly shopping trip to Thames on Thursdays leaving Coromandel at 9am and departing from Pak 'n' Save in Thames at 2pm.
- Bookings are essential there is a suggested koha of $12 return and $6 one way.
- 9 seats are available, and it also caters for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
- The Van is owned by the Coromandel Community Services Trust. CILT organises all of the bookings and the drivers are volunteers.

- Cambridge Community House reimburses drivers $30.00 per return journey to Hamilton, or $15 per return journey to Cambridge medical/health appointment
- Donations to Cambridge Community House Volunteer Driver Service from clients are appreciated. 74% of reimbursement costs are covered by donations from clients. There is no set donation amount, we prefer to cover driver reimbursement if a client can - all journeys requested by clients are fulfilled.

- From Cambridge to any medical appointment in Hamilton or Cambridge - predominantly the Waikato Hospital in Hamilton but many other medical facilities are the location of the appointment.
- The client is picked up from their home address, taken to their appointment, where the driver waits for the client at reception, before returning the client to the client’s home.

Description of services
- Volunteer drivers and support personnel provide a door to door shuttle service from Te Awamutu and surrounding areas to appointments at Waikato hospital and other specialist services in Hamilton, and Te Kuiti.
- Volunteers also escort clients to their appointments and collect them afterwards when notified.
- Both our vehicles have electric step access and we have the ability to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. We have one vehicle with a wheelchair hoist and transportation system. Child seats available on request.
